Successful TPM Meeting in Vienna

After many months the DIGISETS partners were able to meet for the first time in person during the 2nd TPM in Vienna. It showed how much more productive – compared to ZOOM meetings – it is to be in the same room and it was possible to make much progress in IO1, IO2 and most importantly in knowing each other.

On July 1-2, 2021 all project partners were finally able to meet in person in Vienna for the 2nd transnational project meeting for DIGISETS. The 2-day event was held at the main office of lead partner ipcenter and focussed on building on the previous virtual work in order to finalise project deliverables, in particular IO1 and IO2.

Day 1 was used for administrative issues like the upcoming interim report, and was then mainly dedicated to working session on the core building blocks of IO1, namely the employee/stakeholder survey and the “competence framework” that will be designed based on the Austrian DigComp AT 2.2 framework for digital competences. In order to structure our competence profiles, we clustered them with “job families” according to ESCO codes – the newly created competence framework will then be reviewed by external experts and stakeholders from labour market and training institutions.

Day 2 of the workshop focused on IO2, the toolkit (assessment website) where the competence framework will be used to assess/test work-relevant digital competences. The coordinating partner gave us a tour of the conceptual and technological requirements and features of the platform, and the project team looked into similar websites. The specifications of the IO2 website will be worked on during the summer, by using a set of guiding questions for PP trainers and employees to gather their needs and those of the websites end users.

Dissemination and communication measures of DIGISETS were also on the agenda, and project partners reviewed their activities so far, and planned the next steps in order to disseminate project results among the stakeholders.

Beside the meeting and working sessions, the event was a great opportunity to get to know project partners, have engaged discussions about different topics and new project ideas, and alsoexplore the city of Vienna with its touristic sights and delicious culinary treats in the social programme part.

All project partners are looking forward to further working on the project deliverables, and the virtual exchange of ideas/drafts will continue over the summer, with the next meeting TPM3 scheduled for the end of September 2021.
